Camera M Manual
Flash
Camera M allows full control over device flash with multiple modes and torch level control.
Auto Flash
Camera M includes an Auto flash mode that constantly monitors the scene and calculates if flash firing is needed. This mode is available on rear camera flash and selfie flash where available. When Auto flash is going to fire, Flash button icon changes to an orange color as shown below:
Flash is disabled if exposure mode is in custom (ISO and exposure duration is set explicitly). When flash is fired, Max Image Processing is disabled.
Flash On
This mode fires flash at all times, even if the scene is bright. Flash is disabled if exposure mode is in custom (ISO and exposure duration is set explicitly). When flash is fired, Max Image Processing is disabled.
Flash Off
This mode turns flash completely off even if the scene is too dark.
Torch
Turns device torch on and makes torch brightness control possible with the available slider. This function is also available with custom exposure mode (ISO and exposure duration is set explicitly).
Tips
Pressing and holding on Flash button on Control Center resets flash mode back to auto.
Since regular flash firing is not available for custom exposure mode (ISO and exposure duration is set explicitly), consider using Torch mode with adjustable brightness for dark scenes.
For maximum energy efficiency and to avoid device damage, please avoid having Torch mode on for a prolonged period of time.
Troubleshoot
If Auto flash is not firing in dark scenes, please try resetting Flash mode to auto once more by pressing and holding on Flash button. If the issue still exists, please relaunch Camera M.
If flash is not firing at all, please check for overheating of flash module and let the device cool down as needed. If the problem still exists, please try rebooting the device.
