IMAGE FORMATS

Where is RAW image format supported?
RAW is supported with back cameras of iPhone 6s or later and iPad 9.7” or later.

Where is HEIF image format supported?
HEIF format is supported with iPhone 7 or later and iPad Pro 9.7” or later running iOS 11 or later.

Where is P3 Wide Color supported?
P3 Wide Color is supported with iPhone 7 or later and iPad 9.7” or later.


CAMERAS

Are manual controls supported with selfie camera?
Manual focus control, manual exposure control, and manual white balance are not supported with selfie camera. However, any of these features could still be locked or reset back to auto. Tap to focus is also not supported with selfie camera.

Are manual controls supported with Dual Camera?
Manual focus control, manual exposure control, and manual white balance are not supported with Dual Camera. However, any of these features could still be locked or reset back to auto. Both tap to focus and tap to expose are supported with Dual Camera.

What is Dual Camera and when should it be used?
Dual camera is a combination of both wide-angle and telephoto camera to create an enhanced image depending on conditions and zoom levels. Since most manual controls or RAW capture is not availble with Dual Camera, most recommended use for this would be low light conditions.


SHOOTING MODES

What image formats are supported in Burst mode? 
Only JPEG and HEIF image formats are supported with Burst mode to ensure fast processing times.

Where is Live Photo mode supported?
Live Photo mode is supported with iPhone 6s or later and iPad Pro 9.7” or later.

Where is Depth mode supported?
Depth mode is supported with rear dual cameras on iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Pus, and iPhone X running iOS 11 or later.

Where is Dual Photo mode supported?
Dual Photo mode is supported with rear dual cameras on iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Pus, and iPhone X running iOS 11 or later.


FOCUS

Where is Focus Tracking supported?
Focus tracking is supported with all devices, with all rear facing cameras running iOS 11 or later. Selfie cameras do not support focus tracking.

Why is the wide-angle photo is in focus but telephoto image is out of focus in Dual Photo mode?
The wide-angle lens can focus much closer than the telephoto lens. Making sure the overlay guide is not lit in red would ensure both images to be in focus.


FLASH

Is flash firing supported with manual exposure?
Flash firing is disabled with manual ISO and Duration priority modes.


ZOOM

Where is zoom supported?
Zooming in by pinching is supported with all devices, all cameras, all image formats, except with RAW image format. Also zooming is disabled with Depth and Dual Photo modes.
